Getting to Pelee Island:
Flying:
The closest airports to Pelee Island are Windsor (45 minute drive to Kingsville), Detroit (1.5 hours), London (2.5 hours), Hamilton (4 hours) or Toronto (4.5 hours). With the exception of Detroit and Toronto airports, flights from the US and some Canadian centers may be limited. For those traveling from the Eastern US, the airport in Sandusky Ohio (Griffing Sandusky Airport, Telephone:(419) 626-5161) is inexpensive, fast and reliable. They offer direct flights onto Pelee Island.

Driving: If you are coming from east of Kingsville on the 401 Highway, take exit number 48 south onto Highway 77. Once you arrive at Lemington, turn west on highway 20 [Seacliff Drive] to Kingsville. If you are coming from the west (Detroit/Windsor), take Highway 3 east, then turn south on highway 29 to Kingsville.

Ferry: For ferry reservations to Pelee Island, call 1-800-661-2220. If you are planning to bring your car to the Island, we encourage you to leave your car at the dock on the mainland (Kingsville) due to space constraints on the ferry. Departure times are fixed, and the boats do not wait for tardy conference goers.

Accommodations: There are many beautiful hotels and bed and breakfasts located on Pelee Island, but limited space is available (this will be tourist season), so please book as early as possible. For a complete list of accommodation on Pelee Island, visit their website http://www.Pelee.org/staying/htm. The three largest hotels are the Anchor and Wheel Inn (519-724-2195), Pelee Island Hotel and Pub (519-724-9994), and Tin Goose Inn (519-724-2223). Camping is also available on the island. For more information, see the website http://www.Pelee.org/camping.htm. Campground include East Park Campground (519-724-2931), Dick's Marina (519-724-2024), and Anchor and Wheel Family Campground (519-724-2195).
