Manitoba

Manitoba has 15 species of amphibians, more than any other of the prairie provinces. While 6 of the species occur north of Lake Winnipeg, only the Wood Frog can be found as far north as the Northwest Territories. Manitoba has all the species found in Saskatchewan as well as some eastern species such as the Mudpuppy and the Green and Mink Frogs.
