Alberta

Alberta has 10 species of amphibians. All species are found in the southern half of the province, but only 4 species (Canadian Toad, Boreal Chorus Frog, Leopard Frog and Wood Frog) are found in the extreme north. Situated between British Columbia and Saskatchewan, Alberta has some western species (such as the Long-toed Salamander and the Columbia Spotted Frog) as well as some prairie species (such as the Great Plains Toad and the Plains Spadefoot).
